Geometry seetings for S2

Many thanks for that Oli - they are indeed just down the road from me. I'll pop in there and a have a chat before I decide what to do about replacing my shocks/struts.

Cheers,

ISTR this guy is very well known in the MX-5 community. For those not familiar the MX-5 has loads of adjustability much like our cars, and unsurprisingly are also massively improved by getting a really good setup.

With regards to the rear camber setting IMHO I wouldn't go out of my way to spend a lot of time getting the settings closer then say 1/2 degree unless you feel the handling feels imbalanced. On a track car I would definitely adjust, I had a right hard time tuning in 1/4 degree on the front on my car to get the tyre wear right.

For the past year or so I have had a Sealey castor/camber gauge which I have only used on the front. Word of warning, it is very hard to keep the camber setting where you want when tightening up the front bolts. It can be very frustating to measure after tightening and see another 1/4 degree change.

The rest was done in various garages over a 2 to 3 year period, the last of which over 2 years ago at least. I just told them what I wanted. Needs adjusting again so I will be thinking about where to go.
