Ghost ll immobiliser

Just bought a 2024-25 Panamera Turbo e-hybrid, having had a 2019-20 Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid. Can anyone tell me, as dealerships suggest Porsche will invalidate warranty if a Ghost is fitted, if fitting a Ghost II will invalidate warranty. The Porsche Vodafone tracker is merely a tracker and not an immobiliser. The adverts for the Ghost state Porsche Approved but this may well be that the manufacturer/installer approves it for use on such cars. In this day and age seems absurd that an immobiliser should invalidate a manufacturer’s warranty when it would stop car being taken in the first place! On a trip abroad some years ago the Vodafone tracker on my then Porsche failed. Vodafone response, when I pointed out that they could not now track the car, was ‘Oh well, take it to your dealer to get it reset’. Wonder why we pay them sometimes!

I have a Ghost on my 992 GT3 and wouldn’t be without it for piece of mind, Before that i had a 991.2 GT3 also with a Ghost on it and done part exchange with Porsche but had to take it off to part exchange but no problem with the dealer about it being on my car, Go for it mate at least you know your car will be safe 👍
