Green Cup Car for sale

I've seen it, it looks lovely, and is easily worth 1/2 the money, whether it will fetch more than 100k I've no idea.

It's easy worth half the money....we would ALL buy it at that, no question.

Will it sell over £100k? Well if it's on at £155k they are not going to drop that far.

I think it will sell above personally...just needs the right buyer.

I think £150k for a properly restored Cup with spot on history is about right.

These cars and the corresponding 993s are the last of the line and their values continue to rise accordingly; they are easy and cheap to maintain and certainly don't need the same level of care and attention that the subsequent 996 and 997s do.

The right (condition and history) Cup cars don't remain for sale for long. Plus the number for sale at any one time is now very limited, with the best getting snapped up and those which aren't or have missing history hang around.

Remember the Cup is much rarer than the RS!!

Let's see what happens!!

I'm just astounded at the prices that SCOM ask. They're asking £125K for the metallic purple wide bodied 964 that Paul Mc had on for £98k. That's a lot of money for Zymolling it[:D]

Yes I also saw it on saturday.

Lovely --- but any Cup car over £80k is a stretch.

And there are no promises on the provenance ...

Way off not worth half that

Given what they seem to have done to the car (looks like a full restoration including all the technical bits) half the money they ask is not enough. I think a fair price will be between 90 and 100 k GBP. It´ll be a great car then, although the market for a car like that will be very limited. You´ll get faster cars for half the money, you´ll get real classics for a little more. And for those who pay attention to provenance - there´s no guarantee (and there won´t be) this is the Championship Winner.

AFAIK Thomas Schmitz is offering an original Cup car at the moment.

Does anybody know the price the top dollar guy is asking for?

IIRC he also had a Cup car restored right from the shell - is that still a project or am I wrong?

Rgds,

Hacki

The Black '91 cup was on (and maybe still is) Mobile.de for €99,964.
The White '91 French Cup car that was fully restored roughly 18 month ago was up for +/-100k depending on the quality of the finished product and sold for ?????.
The German '91 monkeybum Cup was also fully restored but never as a finished product came to market. you can only assume it sold before comletion.

2 more have now entered the market...
red '90 cup and rubystone '91 cup

Thanks, Martin!

The red S. Angelastri car has been on offer for a long time, I know nothing about the monkey bum 91 car.
Prices seem to be a bit optimistic I think.

did the red S. Angelastri car once have orange bumpers or decals? If so, I inquired about it 2 years ago and got the feeling the owner was just testing interest in the market as he had no interest in selling[&:]

Incidentally, I road registered my Cup last Monday... Thanks for the support!![:)]

You gotta try it on..... Remember the Cup at Essen two years ago? No provenance and asking €150....

I think so, it´s still Mr. Botz offering the car and I don´t believe that Signore Angelastri drove more than one car in 1990.

Congrats to the road legal car!

Interesting link here about Cup and N-GT prices ...
