Halford's "Super Brilliance" bulbs

This might be letting the cat out of the bag but here go's take your membership card and driving license to Halfords and some not all will do you a trade card in return the differance in cost is around half. So a good saving by the way this is only on motor parts the bulds would be 6.99 I asked.[;)][;)]

Struth! That's a heck of a discount. Mind you with Halfrauds sourcing vast amounts of their stock from China I suspect the margins are huge to start off with. Check out their financial performance over the last few years.

I actually tried this a couple of weeks ago. With the trade card the bulbs were around £4 cheaper each - however....the buy one get one free offer was not available to 'trade' so actually worked out dearer. Neadless to say the card went back in the wallet sharpish.

One of the best buys with the Halfords trade card is wiper blades though. A £15 pack of two instantly shrinks to around £4.50!
 
So just to be clear - take in my PCGB membership card and driving lisence and simply ask for a trade card.......this seems too easy. Why does this work; was there a deal done with the club a while back?

I will try this at the weekend....

Not sure about the PCGB card. I have a trade car for being....'in the trade'! If you know anyone in the industry - mechanic etc.. a Halfords trade card is easy enough to get and is issued there and then. (Proof of identity and a salary slip is all that's required)
 
PCGB and Halfrauds, bit of a oxymoron there old bean. Wouldst this venerable institution lower itself to be associate with such low-life, methinks not.
