Happy holidays

So what did you get for Christmas, if anything?

I offered my old man and my uncle remote-controlled indoor helicopters, it was quite amusing seeing both playing like if they were little boys again [:)]

A lovely shiney new tailored car cover, which is already fitted by the way and a new gear stick gaiter from the kids bless em.

Merry Christmas all. No car related presents for me though, I did get a clip on Peterson strobe tuner though, absolutely brilliant little thing [:)].

Merry Christmas all, I came down with Manflu on Christmas Day afternoon, but I think I am on the mend now.
My missus commissioned an artist to draw my car from a photograph!
Of course the first thing my son said was "Where is the scratch from where someone tried to steal the badge?"

[:D] Typical kids - fantastic observations skills however!

^Great present!! Lovely likeness.

Haha Thom, that's a funny story. Boys will be boys.

Merry Christmas to you all up there in the North. Damn that Winter is not looking enticing. We've got floods but at least it's warm. Oh, and well done to the English/South Afrikaan Cricket Team too [:)].
You deserve to retain the Ashes. In fact your team reminds me of the Aussies from a few years ago. Good batting, bowling, and great fielding. Well done!

btw I'd have thought the PCGB forums would be one of the last bastions to wilt under the 'Happy Holidays' pc madness. It's 'Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year' no matter what your religion. Like it or lump it. That's what it's called. [;)]

Ahem...it's been a winter festival since a long time before the Christian religion appropriated it! [;)]

Far from being PC, I'd rather the whole thing lost it's religious connetations and was seen for what it is; a great excuse to spend time with friends and family, fall out with them over the sherry and Monopoly, and then dread the credit card bill arriving.

Merry Winter Solstice and a Happy New Year to everyone from your Forum Admin, Paul McScrooge. [:D][:D]

What, the 25th of Dec has been 'borrowed' by the Christians? Some coincidence. I'm actually an atheist but I find that when something as good natured as most people's idea of Xmas is quashed by certain other religions, that gets my back up. It's not like I impose myself on their beliefs and holidays. However, I agree. Best wishes to all and hope you have a prosperous and 'warmer' new year!
