Happy Xmas - whats in your stocking?

I had belts, rollers done a few weeks back, as well as full service - that was my present to myself, but hope there will be a few more pork related pressies tomorrow!

got the centre console replacement for cassette storage, will be fitting it tomorrow...

subtle hints re clear indicator snd repeater lenses so far ignored, but, it is my birthday in a weeks time!

I'm getting major withdrawl symptoms from shopping for Porsche parts. My ebay bookmark for porsche parts has not seen any action for a while now. I ended up throwing caution to the wind this year and asked my other half to surprise me. She got me an elecric shaver, which would have been great if I hadn't decided to grow a beard a week before Christmas. Having said that I can't see the beard becoming a permanent feature though.

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and Santa brought you everything you wanted, and have a great New Year and may the Porsche Gods smile down on you all and bless you with perfect reliability!

- Circuit guides
- Origin of the Species
- Cuff link box
and some other little things I can't remember. The Circuit guide and Darwin book I asked for. Haven't started on the Darwin stuff but have poored over Brands (Indy), Angelsey & Snetterton. Mallory, Cadwell and Silverstone (national) to do next. This in combination with endless hours of youtube footage is my mission this week to assimilate these tracks.

I have promised myself I will get fit so I need to start doing some short runs this week. Not looking forward to that bit at all.

She may well have purchased it less than a week before Christmas then [:D]

[:D] My wife is not a fan of the 'face fungus' as she calls it either.

I had a beard of various styles for 20+ years, and the present Mrs P says she wouldn't have looked twice if I had it when we met.
(did start a little one over the hols, shes too full of cold to object!)

Beards seem to suit some people and not others. I think my beard might suit me but it wont be staying for long into the new year- apparently though it suits me it makes me look older, and I don't need that as I approach my forties and am desperately trying to cling onto any feeling of youthfulness I can! I just wanted to grow one once in my life. I must admit, not shaving daily is certainly a freedom i'll miss when it does go, but hopefully the wife's Christmas pressie will help speed things up there.

Best case of "thread-slip" I've seen in a while...
Nearly as good as the guy that posted pictures of light aircraft he has flown (and might one day fly) in the thread on the New Year Winter Gathering!
For what its worth, my beard has been going a week now, but HWMBO has'nt noticed yet

Scott - I think mine used to suit me until it started going grey, but now I've got so little on top it would look a little unbalanced!

This thread isn't doing our image any good guys. Next we will be saying we smoke pipes and drink real ale to complete the beardo weirdo image [:D].

I can relate to the grey beard comment, I seem to be collecting bits of grey hair which I have got away with as my natural hair colour was blonde (many years ago). I might have to think about hair dye at some point but the thought of dyeing ones beard is just to weird to comprehend.

Real ale and cigars here. And a malt or two, when in the mood ... and I'm not yet 35. No beard tho' - Mrs zcacogp wouldn't countenance it.

Neil, step away from the hair dye. Go grey gracefully, and don't pretend to be anything else.

What worries me more Oli is I will likely go white. My dads hair went white very suddenly when he was in his 20's. I am 36 and have avoided it until now but I fully suspect I may wake up one morning and look like Santa [:D]

I worked out that if you cut it short enough you cant tell if its going "pale, so I cut it as short as I can (no comb on the clippers) once a week, starting about 8 years ago.
