HATTON LOCKS PICNIC 7th August

Ta.

I have found both Moreton in Marsh and Hatton Warwick on the AA route finder!! Coupled with my mate TomTom I expect to arrive relatively early and in the right place.
Looking forwards to seeing you and to a peaceful afternoon with a picnic and no rain.

Please note that I did not mention either washing the car or barbecue - those two activities are almost guaranteed to bring on rain.

Few pics from today - great turn out everyone, nice to finally meet a few usernames [:D]

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Looks like it was good fun.
The midnightblue (?) 986 on the parking lot has a nice set of rims.

Thanks for organising this event. So nice to see the faces behind the somewhat cryptic names.

Annual event; yes - bound to be a greater success as others discover what they have missed.

I shall make enquiries in Cambridge for a similar event in October.

Incidentally, thanks to Mark and Gerry for not laughing too loudly when I managed, after about 4 months, to untwist my seat belt. I have stuggled for all that time to sort out that minor but aggravting problem and suddenly it was resolved - must have been the good company, encouragement etc.

See you all at Brands Hatch.

Another happy pair!

Yes, great event many thanks for the efforts (and patience) for organising it and the weather.

next event is Rolls Royce PLC visit Derby on the second of sept.

see region 9 for details [8D]. because of security i do need to know names of whos attending in advance please.

I was sorry to have missed this one; my 4th day of boxster ownership would have been well spent at a PCGB picnic, however I had a hot 1st date in London, and (no offence) I think I made the right decision [:D]
I will definitely try to come along to the next one, or some other event before the winter gets here

What dates in October would be suitable for another social event. I will go to OPC in Cambridge and ask them if they are interested in 'hosting' a morning and we can then follow this with lunch in the [only] pub in Foxton and tea at Judys' cottage.

I would like to chat to OPC Cambridge and the landlord asap.

Over to you

We should let the RO in the area know (I'll do that) just in case the OPC only want a limited number of contact days/events with the club. Don't want to take any from the Region.

15th/16th
22nd/23rd
29th/30th
would be OK. Give people time to get PP, read it, and decide to go...

I think that you will find that there are, effectively, 3 Areas which might have an interest; London, Chiltern and Cambridgeshire. And this excludes non-Boxster owners - after all we saw a magnificent Turbo and a 997 on Sunday and it would be a shame to exclude such supporters.

I suppose that we must bear in mind the limited capacity of the only pub in Foxton and the fact that Judys' cottage is relatively small.

Mark

I am seeing OPC Cambridge on Saturday but the pub will not be able to cater for many meals until first week in November [landlords' wife is away!] and will also need an indication of numbers in advance. Roast beef/chicken meal seems on the cards followed by tea etc.
