Have 'S's really reached this value ?

Mine's got 8k on the clock and I paid 44k in October last year, absolute mint, completely original, no paint! Original tyres too, which is a bit of a worry after 10 years! I concur, the 'S' is the best looking Porsche ever built! What rear would you rather look at, Beyonce's or Twiggy's? The rear of the year has never been a narrow one! I rest my case!

I think he is being a bit ambitious. Mine is all of his, plus factory fitted when new Turbo S rear wing and front spoiler, had 22000 miles on it when I bought it 15 months ago and was £37k. South East may be a bit more expensive but he's getting terribly close to Turbo land.
Then again, a car is worth what someone will pay for it and if that colour is your particular poison, you never know?

Reckon you're right to be worried, Scott. Remember the Porsche 6 year rule for tyre age.

993turbo
I do like the wide rear of certain 993 models - but then again they look good from almost every angle. However TT has the best rear (imo) of the regular 993 range, because of the wide rear and the glorious wing. My personal preference is Turbo spoiler on a Turbo - whereupon nothing else would fit on account of the intercooler - form following function. But I'm biased
The GT2 is even better - but i think that may be just lust rather than love.
all the best

Back to values..... Specialist Cars Of Malton have one in mint green, turbo S aero pack 19k miles, wait for it.......... a fiver under 50k!! and no it isn't a misprint! Hope this is a glimpse of the future []
Kevin,
The one in Specialist Cars was if I remember rightly originally ordered for an Arabian gentleman. He had to have Tiptronic for some reason and wanted a Turbo S, which apparently didn't come in Tiptronic. The reason it is so expensive is because he basically ordered a 'S', and then added litterally everything else on to make it look like a Turbo S. Eg, Wing and spolier (which if I remember right is about a £5k option), the Turbo S air scoops on the rear haunces (a few more grand), matching mint interior leather which no doubt was another special order and just about every other option you could tick.
Personally, I think he ruined a great car with the matching colour scheme in every orifice which just goes to show, money don't buy taste!
Back to my earlier post though, if you want a tiptronic and you like the colour, this is one unique car and may tempt someone. I'll stick with my none too controversial (as if) pastel yellow.
PS. Contacted Chris Franklyn and am in process of arranging for him to work his magic. Thanks for the recommendation Kevin.
