Have you increased your insurance valuation recently?

Tognola Engineering in Datchet did my PPI and my valuation. Mine is a 1990 C2, GR, 58K miles, very nearly mint, but not quite. Insured for £30K through Lockton/Chubb.

Ray that valuation sounds low to me. Would have thought 25-27k would be nearer the mark

I thought that too. However, it must be difficult for the club to keep up with the 964 price bubble that's going on at the moment. So, I guess they're being cautious in their valuations.
dont forget mines got 155k on it full service history and needs topend doing

Collected a far from perfect 37000 mile C2 Tip from auction for client recently -£26K plus premium. Nope, I couldn't believe it either.....[&:]

Ray, you're in the same boat as me (mine was valued at £19K for insurance)...we wouldn't be able to replace them with our payouts. However, even if they were valued higher, the goal posts are moving so fast that it's the same for everyone. I console myself with the thought that if the value is not enough to see it repaired, I wouldn't want replace it with another 964 and would use the payout for something else.

I've got my Viola Anniversary valued at £37k with 50,000 miles on the clock but 2 have been sold recently for over £40k with a lot more miles and in Silver so maybe need to assess the valuation [:-]

Yes a stunning looking car that has been exported to Thailand!!!

Prices are on the up and 2014 could be a good year for 964 owners [:)]

Oh well if you must....[:D]....here's the link:

Download the document and fill it out. I took some photos and then uploaded them to Truprint on-line and got the prints back within a few days. You also want to photocopy your service book and send in copies of major receipts for work done.

Don't expect to get some of the values that are going round at the moment because I think the market is moving so fast that it's difficult for the valuers to keep up with.

You would think in this day and age that you would be able to email details and photos. [&:] For one photos are much easier to scrutinise on a computer!

It's worth pointing this out to the board. We have been trying for many years to get valuations sped-up and simplified, but unless people complain nothing will change. [&o]
