Hello 991 Forum!

I picked tis little beauty up Saturday [:)]
I'd done all the overnight test drives with different models and I came to the conclusion that for me it still had to be a cabriolet and it had to have PSE, otherwise it would need to be fitted afterwards!
I was originally looking for the right car with the right spec (PDK, Cruise, Chrono, PSE were on the main hit list) in black or grey, funny how things work out, but when I saw this combo of Sport Design Package with those black Xenon's and the Platinum wheels, I thought - oooohhhh yeeeessss!

Loving the car, loving the noise it makes, especially driving around the Farnham one-way system - what a racket [:)] and I am absolutely chuffed to bits.

Russell

Lovely car. Welcome to the 991 forum. I thought you would succumb sooner or later.

Best wishes.

Jonathan

Congratulations, I think the ducktail looks fantastic. Time to get a few miles under your belt to really appreciate the differences. [:D]

Russell
The motor looked stunning today and Yes did sound very nice on start up [8D]

Great to see you out in the new motor

Thanks Gary,

It was fun on the way out of Salisbury with the spectators watching the cars, a nice opportunity to hold those low gears and make some noise for them, loved it. [:)]

Great looking car Russell ,love the duck tail
If its Farnham Surrey mentioned in your first post I would suggest a little audible trip through the Hindhead tunnel will bring a smile[;)]
Tony

Thank you Tony [:)]

Indeed it is Farnham, Surrey.

I had an overnight test drive of a C2S cab with PSE from Guildford a few months ago and headed straight for the Hindhead tunnel and it was the ear to ear smile I had afterwards that confirmed 100% it had to be a cabriolet and it had to have Sports Exhaust, it was just a fantastic racket [:D]

Hi All

Just to let you all know i am an anti 991, to big , ugly why would anyone want to buy that. All the porsches i have owned i have matured to their beauty and engineering excellence , 930 turbo, 993 rs, 3.2 speedster, 996 4s, 997 turbo, 997gt3 gen 2, Cayenne diesel, no way would i buy a 991 even my wife agreed after seeing the first 991,s.
I have hesitated to do a post for some time , thinking how can i justify myself, my wife who is more about Porsche than me ( she has the money) , in July 2012 says, Hugh how about a new convertible as im really fed up with that GT3 and really we do not take the Speedster out. Convertible , i said are you mad , these things are unstable , loose money and a whole lot of things i mentioned. There was no porridge next morning next morning but alot of visual with no sound.

Got on the Configurator and built a 991 s convertible and placed the order. Took delivery of car at end of May 2013 and i have done my utmost to discredit the car, i have only 1800 miles on the car , i really have to say it is the best convertible/car i have driven ever. The car has a host of extra,s and really it is quicker than the GT3.

I will try to attach some photos

Hi

Thanks Alex as im not computer literate this really confuses me , why can the Porsche website not be like e mail, which simply asks you to attach a file and hey presto it works. Really in todays technology what is wrong with the Porsche Club,s website that when doing a post you cannot attach a photo directly ??????

Hugh
