I think they're all in another forum, even the members area is deserted. Roll on another Dakota night for our Porsche fix.

Brian,

Already booked and will have a spare seat too. Hanky already knotted and bucket and spade in the car.

A beach BBQ? Which beach in Fife is it? Is it past Tesco? [:)] ( you are brave organising a beach bbq with the terrible British weather we have been having Brian )

Hi all

We have been members of PCGB for over 20 years, but the first club event we have attended was the husky event in Stirling. We were giving the presentation. Its a shame we didn't log on to this forum earlier and find out you were holding an 'alternative' event to clash with the Stirling evening. We wouldnt have spent hours preparing the talk, taken all the dogs, two vehicles and all the equipment to talk to 3 people.

Never mind.....

Dear Hugh & Judy,

I would like to sorry on behalf of some of the members that did not attend your event. I know that some had expressed an interest in attending. However there has been a huge amount of un-rest within the club as to the recent change of location for the club meets. In brief, Alan Seadon changed a long standing set-up and this upset a number of members. A few complained both to the club, but nothing was addressed officially. This didnt help the situation and has resulted in some members refusing to attend the river house and even a couple of members have resigned their membership. I must say that I think Alan should have warned you about the possibility of people not turning up due to the present politics in the club.

In different circumstances your evening may of had a completly different response.

Regards
Scott.

Thanks for the reply Scott.

If anyone would like to learn more about the huskies or see them in action, give us a shout.

Hugh and Judy

Dear Hugh and Judy,

Very sorry to hear you went to all that trouble for so little return. As Scott has mentioned above, many of the regular attendees are voting with their feet and avoiding the monthly meetings, as a protest about the way things are presently being managed, and that includes me. It's a shame you were a casualty of a situation not of your making.

Cheers

John H

Although, keeping this in perspective - I believe there were only 3 people in attendance at Dakota that were club members, the rest have resigned or have not been club members for some time, and I believe membership numbers are now being taken at events (previously we had an "all welcome" policy) - therefore it can't have possibly had the impact on the night that you were led to believe.
