Gary,
Excuse my ignornace but what does CE approved mean?
Has anyone fitted an aftermarket exhaust (and/or ECU mod) and told their insuarnce company? I would be interested to know how much the premium went up. Being a bit of a whimp I wouldnt sleepat night if I though I wasnt insured so would have to tell my insurer about the mods. Chris's post got me thinking. I live on the south coast I could easily pop into DMS!!
Come on Chris put us out of our misery was this a idle fling with a pimped up flirt or a real relationship about to start?
As I do a lot of business miles plus the odd track day I was straight up ith my insurers about the x51 Powerkit as the figures Porsche Quote are "at least 26hp" which is less than 10% I had no premium increase over a standard C2S.
I was told at 10%+ the premium rises steeply, again a 20% premium would be expected.
Being too honest for my own good I did point out the X51 pack says at least 26hp but the brokers did mind as long as the base value quoted was less than 10% power hike.
