Help me spec my 997 please

Thanks again.....I'm just more confused now....if I could just decide the colour for sure that would be a start, thought White, but then followed an Atlas grey today and it looked great!

Jamie, Budget......yes back to reality, for me base plus 10% for options so ideally £76-77K

Mex, don't get too stressed, we all go through the same agonising when giving birth to a new Porker!!! Lets be honest it's a lot of hard earned money you are spending!

Bottom line is go for what YOU like best/ want the most, just remember if you want best residuals avoid a huge spec & be careful with colour choices!

P.S..... I like Atlas as well, but its hard to keep clean!

Grey is not the best colour for a sports car IMHO. It looks fine when clean and new but pretty grim when dirty and used.
My worst 911 ever was grey - but then again I also chose grey for the cabin, which was a bit OTT - it was generally a grey car all round, so maybe I'm bias. [X(]
Carrera White is good choice, it's fresh and always look good - I'm sticking to that for mine! [:)]

Clive

Good thing we all like different things, its what makes the world go around, must be honest & say I am 100% underwhelmed with white, just looks like the car is undercoated & ready to paint, shows the dirt even more than black & will go out of fashion!
But considering I'm the guy who ordered his GT3 in Arctic Silver (I LOVE Arctic Silver Mmm) when the salesman said it I should order white because "it was coming back in fashion" it must be me out of step!
Do you remember the last white fashion & the Astra GTE back in the 80's it was all white with white wheels to match, it scarred me for life, at the same time my now mother in law had a special edition peugeot in white, with white wheels & a denim jeans interior! Ahh the 80's, looks like they are back!!!

Dyllan, Atlas is indeed good, but £1500 - White is free - I can have sports exhaust and different wheels for that??

You are all of course right, I'll just keep plugging at the configurator!!

darren,i understand exactly what you mean and agree with your sentiments.but just think for a moment about what colour you would REALLY like if you plan to live with it for a few years and then remember that £1500 whilst still the cost of pse etc is probably only a month(at most!) depreciation.it doesnt seem worth choosing 2nd best then does it?(unless white is your 1st choice anyway!)[:D]
good luck with the agonizing-yet fun!-decisions
