New thread...................

Maybe we ought to organise a New Year get together around the end of January and help Paul decide NOT to sell his car.

Who knows I 'may' even have my car back by the end of the month , the block should return from the machine shop this week as a sleeved 3.2 litre and then finally Jon Mitchell can start putting it back together in the car.

Then I also will be looking at bucket seats and other safety equipment, but first I want to get the thing run in and then as many trackdays as possible as I haven't driven on track in nearly 9 months

I'm up for a social meet I guess. Can we pick a day when it is not icy, foggy AND hosting a major disaster all at the same time though please? I guess the west side of London is too much to ask, as the last meet that I missed was Reading?

Agreed. West London is OK for me. What about ACE Cafe? Meet greet AND eat

Anyone thinking of going to the Autosport show next weekend? I'm toying with the idea and we could do it then.

Great idea Fen I was thinking of going along, anyone else going?

Missed the new thread (doh!) . I am hoping to go on the Friday.

I have decided that the time has come for a new helmet, and there is little better chance to try on all that is available.

Assuming they do a "Live" show I think I will give that a miss this year. When they first started (some years ago now) it was all very exciting but, I guess, there are only so many variations on a theme.

Not quite sure how the heading relates to "Shall we go to the Autosport Exhibition?" so not surprised that I missed it. [;)] Perhaps we need another new thread. [:D]

I think it might be a bit too hectic to talk properly at Autosport (and I certainly can't make a Friday)

How about meeting at one of the Cornbury House open sundays? Its about an hour and a half from both London and Birmingham, two hours from Bristol. I can't remember exactly which Sundays its open but memory seems to be telling me its the first Sunday of each month so it could be the 5th February. Plenty of pubs in Moreton nearby

I was thinking we could meet after the Autosport show for a late lunch or something, but Cornbury works for me. I don't know which way you would go there from Bristol to take 2 hours though, unless you base all your timings on diesel vans now as your Turbo has been broken so long [:D] (it's 65 miles from Bristol)

Cornbury works well for me. I agree that getting together at the NEC wouldn't really work. I've been in the past with four people and even that is too many to stick together.

I know a nice pub in a little village just outside Moreton if we need a venue after we all meet up at Cornbury House.

The 5th is definitely an open day (I'll be down there for the inaugural meeting of the proposed Club band).

Dans right, I've just checked with Club Office and it is definitely the first Sunday of every month, so February 5th it is. We could meet from 10am onwards and then convene in Graemes pub for lunch. How does this sound to everyone (especially Paul Cullen as he is the focus of our sly campaign?)

Now that we know Dan is there with the band maybe earplugs would be advisable [;)]

So I either can't go or I have to bring the Bimmer - John and 9EX can't be in the same place at the same time; it's the law.

Absolutely, though not on my account of course! [8D]

(Plus I think it is literally just an inaugural 'who does what'-type meeting rather than an all-out assault on the senses)
