what you think?

Wow, looks stunning! Great wheel colour, any interior pics?

[:)] Edited to add, just looked at the link and seen the pics of the interior

Very nice and very useful as tomorrow I plan to swap my seats over! Nice to see it just looks like a few bolts and a big electrical plug.
Did you know someone pinched your sports seats - definitely sports out but not sports back in!

yeah i noticed that when i bought the new seats. so kept the old ones [;)] still planning on getting them completely retrimmed in new leather.

So good to see a car on teles, along with cookie cutters I think they suit the car far more than later wheels. You need to keep the car looking like every part was designed around the same decade IMO, which is why I also like the original lenses over the modern clear ones.

Try as you might it's a classic '70s design, sold through the '80s. To me, adding modern touches to it just looks like a 70-year-old thinking she'll look younger in a mini-skirt and Ugg boots. Bad analogy, but you get my point! [:'(]

Must work as hard on my analogies as you have on the car....[:D]

Great Stuff, also agree about te wheel colour it suits te car, insurance seems a bit steep can you not stick it on a classic both of mine are £186 FC agreed value with all mods declared (go faster bits).
Try AON for a quote.

Paul,
I have just put refurbed turbo teledials back on my early 220 turbo, it looks real retro, though i am half tempted to refit cups ?
If not there may well be a set of minty early offset 17" Cup !'s for sale peeps ?
Jim.

Just noticed i don't care much for the lights on the roof in the 8th picture down, it looks a bit off roadish...............[:D]

Your rear turbo bage requires moving to it's correct position, a tad lower and to the right......................trust me.

cheers all, yeah im 22 and couldnt get classic insurance. been in the family since new so im glad ive finally got it back on the road.

Frenchy, ive never touched the rear badge :S is it easy to adjust?

these are what the alloys looked like when i took them off:

alot of people on detailingworld hate the alloys in white. no matter what people say, im keeping them :D

A lot of people think the people on detailingworld are a little bit. No, I'll not say it. [;)]

Those tyres will be fine, just reinflate them to "round" psi! [8|]

*nods*

Tell people trying with later excessively-sized wheels and steering wheels and they tend to spit their dummy, though.

na the car was standing on them for years. the rubber cracked. i tried to inflate them but all the air would just flow out just as fast LoL

Remove the badge with some strongish fishing line ALA cheescutter get some behind a section of the badge them work it along, best to do it the garage and apply a little heat from a hairdryer as they can be brittle as i managed to break mine into 3 bits [X(] though a new one is six quid odd from the main dealer/
Refix by applying some good quality double sided tape available from your local motor factors or even cheaper if you know someone who has a bodyshop.

Get some cavity wax in those sills and at the bottom of the front wings to combat rusty stuff.

Looking good h4x0r7000 [:)]
