i took out the old stereo mate because i was told it didnt work. i work at halfords so i can test it to see if it does.

Stunning looking car must have been a heck of alot of work but so very worth the effort. Loving the white wheels too. [:)]

I saw that car on detailing world about a year ago, first was filled with awe (at the work done)
and then shame (at the state of my machine in comparison!)

And it's really great to see a car like that in the same family all these years, it's very rare
that people hold on to things these days.

As regards the wheels, I think they look great, they really suit the red car.
It's your car, don't worry about what those other fella's say bout them,
I think teledials always look fantastic on a 944.

Gotta say, I've never really liked teledials much, but they look superb in white against your red bodywork. Inspired! Great work and I hope you now get to enjoy driving it lots.

Fantastic work! [:)]

I'm loving the white Teledials too - screams Cup Car to me (and thats a good thing)

Cheers all [:)]

tbh when i first got it, i was tempted to get rid of the teledials and get some turbos rims. my dad got in a mood when i said that so he told me to restore them first and see how it goes. One of my mates had a megane coupe in red, with white wheels. always thought red on white looked really good. When they got refurbed, they arrived in silver, ended up sending them back [:D]

im really pleased you all like it. like i said before, a few from detailingworld hated the white wheels. The only down side is im constantly having to clean them.

Next step is to get the elrectics sorted out on it. Anyone know in the chester area willing to help me out? im finding it really confusing whats going on.

Keep looking on e-bay Fiend, if you like Azev,s you sould check out RUF 5 spokes a guy in te north east has a set of them on his car, absolutely the Mutts Doh Dah's.
Rare as hens gnashers though.

What was the process you used to get the carpets so clean? I see some Auto Glym upholstery cleaner and a micro fibre in the pics.

water vac, 5lt autoglym upholstery cleaner, and the micro pad :) used water vac first and spraying the autoglym as the shampoo. the the microfibre pad for any really deep stains.

Re the Azev's maybe you could have bought the 944 turbo I sold for £1700 , and used the wheels , it had Azev alloys on. I dont know if they were the a's mentioned but I loved them , non original but totally retro in a great way [;)]
I do wish I had kept that car , if I knew how hooked I would be now I'd have happily kept it as well as my new one just for the wheels and body colour.

Red and white looks good to me ! very nice, think you are a lucky you know what to be given that.

Best of luck
Mas

Borbet "C" is another retro style I like.... I know DemonTweeks do them...... but only 7.5x16",9x16 on a VW fitment. Might see if they can get some special order.

Lovely looking car, it looks fantastic with those wheels on. Alot of effort has clearly gone into that car, and it shows in all of the details :). The Cup car look is clearly present on the exterior.

However, is it me or is the ride height quite low at the front compared to the rear?

correct the front is lower. ended up getting new springs but ended up get spax springs which lowered the front. going to get the torsion bar done soon.

and cheers all for the comments. regarding the alloys im thinking of keeping them now :)
