Thanks to Paul Taylor, who has very kindly liased with Heritage Classics, we have been invited to have a look round their workshops. John will need to know numbers for this I hope we can support him and Paul for this event which is to be held from 10.00am until 1pm approx Sunday 20/03/2016.
Heritage Classics can be found at, 3 Bowes Road, Middlesbrough TS2 1LU.

Heritage Classics is a family business established by John Collins to provide a very comprehensive restoration service for all makes of classic and vintage cars.
John spent four years training as a City and Guilds qualified vehicle body builder, coach and paint sprayer.
After completing his apprenticeship building and repairing aluminium and fiberglass .P.S.V. vehicles, a deep-rooted interest in classic and vintage cars drew him to work building and restoring Triumph TR Sports cars for a very well respected TR dealer.
From this an opportunity arose to further his skills working for a vintage car specialist building one off car bodies and restoring existing ash framed bodies. These were panelled in aluminium, each piece 'wheeled-up' by hand using traditional techniques. John also gained experience restoring and remaking complete leather interiors, making new hoods, tonneau covers and trimming fabric bodies.

I appreciate some of our cars may not be back on the road until April, so please don't be put off because you have to bring your daily driver, I assure you this won't be a problem.

Hi Greg

It looks as if I'm going to be able to manage to get to this one. If it's going to be fine I might even bring the banana down! Any ideas whether we are going to meet up before the drive down? I presume that we are going to be able to leave us necessary, need to be in Darlington by 1245.

Cheers

Alastair

No problem Alastair, you can come & go as you wish from 10.00am-13.00pm
Anyone wanting to meet up first and drive down together?
I suggest 8.45am meet at Washington services (south bound) ready to leave at 9.00am give us a chance to kick tyres for a short while prior to leaving.[:)]
Great to kick the season off at last see you there.
Greg.

Great morning. Arrived late but still had the opportunity to see everything. Some lovely vehicles in for restoration and an incentive to get the spanners out and rescue whatever is rotting in the garage.
