Heritage Classics Workshop Visit 20/03/2016

Thanks again to Paul for organising this open morning. John at Heritage Classics made us all very welcome and allowed us to roam around the workshops and take a look at some of the ongoing projects he has in. Very interesting mix of cars. If you didn't make it Mark has posted some fantastic pics from the day. Great to kick the new season off at last. Good turn out with a nice mix of members cars.
Deb and I unfortunately had to leave before the very end as we had to head up to Glasgow to make a pick up apologies for this but it was a great run on a lovely sunny day so we decided the scenic route to Prestwick, roughly adding another 400 effortless miles on the day to the Cayenne.

Hi Chaps & Chapesses,

Thanks to all who managed to turn out for the event. I hope you all enjoyed the cars and coffee and have an insight into what can be involved in restoring thin air held together by rust[:)]

Here are a few more photos:

The car which looks like a string vest with a few new panels is an Allard Aero of which only 2 were every built, this possibly could now be the only one in existence. The original magnesium bodywork didn't much like water, so the new panels have been fabricated by hand by John by using the old panels at buck patterns.

Thanks again,
Paul
