a bit tatty, but very original, superb history, approx 59k, low owners.
Was a member here probably 18 years ago with my old 911sc trackday car, now back with a 944, currently supply race and track parts to the BMW guys.

Hi All.

Hi there and welcome [:)]! I sold my 944 (Turbo) last year and, really wish I hadn't [:(]! That looks a really nice car mate. Good luck with it! Are you going to "Track Prepare" it? Or, is it going to be the daily driver? I'm just getting back into the fold and, have recently bought myself a 968 Club Sport, same colour as yours [8D]!! I can't wait to collect Him in a couple of weeks time [8D][:D]!! Good luck with your car mate and, ENJOY [:D]!!!

Thanks very much, all my pals are saying track prep it but i love the owners and mileage so i think i will just restore it to its former glory, get some pics up of the 968 CS, very rare they are now, appreciating classic for sure, Enjoy.

Hi from another northlooper [:D]
the 2.5's are just a bit slow for the track I think, but lovely road cars. If it's a genuine 59k that's a very low mileage car & well worth making it nice. You'll find plenty of help & advice on here

Hi all, Just returning to the pcgb after a 15 absence, just starting a tidy up on a 944 silver rose i have came across in Northern ireland, need steering wheel and gearstick gaitor refurbished, does anyone know the colour code for the burgandy leather used in silver rose. Stan weir.

I have put up a few pics on the 968 section of this forum. They are under the title "Viewing a 968 Club Sport". Go and have a look and, tell me what you think [:)].

Thant looks lovely, are you leaving it as is or back to standard, those CS's are going up in value nicely.

Thanks mate [:)]. Think I'm gonna keep it as it is, maybe chuck in a Super Charger...[8D][:D]!!
That will make it a bit more fun, you will need to call me for race pads to stop that then [:)]

Yes martin, it sure would [8D]! But if I went through with it, I would have to get a full engine re-build to be able to take the 400 donkeys on offer and, that would cost mucho dosho [:(]! That's a great looking car you have there mate, why not give it a bit more "Fizz" for track day use, don't listen to the purists [8|], it's your car after all. I may be a "Boy Racer" and, I know my opinion is my own and, worthless but, I just love the "Hard, Take No Prisoners" look of a well sorted Street/Track car. 944's in this guise look truly mental [8D][;)][:D]

I used to do the Porsche club trackdays when they combined them with the BMWCC, So had the choice of either my old 911SC trackcar or E30 M3 race car !! Going to build an E92 M3 race car fairly soon, so I'm pretty sure this will stay std, and the BMW will keep me on track, I will come to a few PCC track days next year I'm sure.

Keep the pics coming on your car.

The 2.5 is a really nice light balanced car. One of those situations where all the planets aligned. It isn't blisteringly quick by today's standards but is still a lot of fun and means you can drive the car rather than it just takes you there.

Almost anything you might do to "improve" it won't as you take it from a point of balance to another point and then start chasing it's shortcomings in trying to get to that new place. If that makes sense?

Thanks John

i had to drive easy on collecting it, as the belts have not been touched for 10k miles that was in 2008 !! so need to get that sorted before i can really get a feel for it, oh and it has a fumey smell coming in the cabin so need to look into this C02 sensor or MAF !

Thanks

Martin

That'll be the tailgate seal leaking and sucking in exhaust fumes.. O2 sensor? MAF? not on one of those, far too high tech.
