HID Lamp conversion, anyone tried one???

I have to agree with everything John has said above. He followed me back from the R11 meet tonight. There was no glare from his car, just a good solid pool of light. I would never have guessed it was a 944 if I hadn't known - a standard 944 has much weaker and yellower lights.

Tonight was also the first time I've fully tested mine as well (thanks for the adjuster motors Fen, fitted them last night) and can only say I'm IMPRESSED with the extra light output compared with before the new loom and regulator were fitted.

Dan, that's two more happy customers ! The only problem is I'll probably have to get a kit for the 944S now as well [:(]

John, I'm about 120 miles away in Warwick today but.......

I think you've left your lights on [8D]

If you're sure they don't glare, then thats another thing to add to my never ending list £££££

With the new lenses the horizontal cut off is very well defined and can be adjusted with a high degree of accuracy. Glare was a concern to me and my original settings we a little low as a result. I have been watching how the light falls on the back of other cars to ensure glare isn't an issue and have lifted the lights a little as there was still a fair margin of clearance below the boot line of cars followed.

944's are obviously not the tallest cars on the roads and, having followed Rick for a fair few miles, if Rick says they are OK he would know.

Get some before the winter as you will then enjoy them more then me getting them sorted by May. [8|] They should be good for the Scotland trip though. [:D]
