High Milage 993's

Oh I forgot to mention that well known problem with these cars - the engines fall out at 168,000 miles ...

No seriously congratulations.

Ian.

Best I get from 167,000 miles to 168,500 miles as quickly as possible then, to ensure it's covered by the warranty [:D]

Hi Maurice

Local OPC could not do the inspection until next week. I looked on the Internet, and found an agency for Car Inspections - which was run by a guy called Mark Wibberly, who lived 5 miles from me [:)]

I gave him a call, and he was a real Porsche enthusiast, owned a 964, one of a series of Porsches he had owned.
They normally work with a network of Inspection engineers, but the person in Kent was not available for 2-3 days.
He arranged for another engineer (who lived 8 miles from me..) to leave at 6am to go and inspect the car in the morning

Very good service, and they seemed to know their Porsches - time will tell...

Web site for the agency is http://www.sportscarguides.com/porsche/ppi.asp - although they are changing this at the moment I think

Hi Maurice

Will do, I'm waiting to see the documented report, along with a promised CD of photo's taken during the inspection.

How do I get my new car - when I get my hands on it - onto the register?

Cheers

Pete
