Hit & Run!

Well, after a few months of wrangling, the car is finally being repaired!

It took a lot of back and forth with the insurance company, trying to get them to agree the car is worth more than their initial valuation of £6,500 and trying to get them to authorise the garage to spend time and money doing various checks and measurements, but they have finally agreed to pay out for the £7,500 of damage caused!

Should have the car back in a couple of weeks! :)

Excellent result, well done.

Suggestions :
1. Join PCGB
2. Once car is back with you, take photos etc and get the club valuation.
3. Switch insurers to one like Classic Line who have agreed value as part of the policy. In the event of a technical write-off of mine, I have a choise : 100% of the agrred value, and they own the wreck or 75% of the agreed value and I own the wreck (and probably have enough cash as a result to get it repaired at rather less cost than estimated by/for the insurers!)
