How big are your bulbs?

I understand now. Its the voltage drop in the loom, not the bulbs! Sorry for being slow.

Thanks

After much deliberation I have 55/60's on order and am looking forward to being able to drive with confidence in the dark again.

As I said the Mr Shark - It will be great to carry out an upgrade when I need it, rather than in the summer when the lights never get turned on.

Mr Shark's kit arrived a few days or so ago now and very "meaningfull" it is.

The loom build quality is superb and very much "how you would want it done" rather than "it works but done cheap". There is no doubt that this is a significant bit of wiring and not for the Club Sport boys.

Dan (Mr Shark) sugested that one customer turned his lamp upwards and fried an egg on it, as a joke - I can well believe it. I have no doubt that the loom will more than handle 100w bulbs if I do go that route.[8|] Once you have the loom and instructions it all becomes very clear how it all works.

Beaky was dropped off at Autostrassa this morning for sundry little jobs (I hope) including sorting out the aircon. As this trip was already booked I concluded that they might as well fit the light kit as they would have to get the air con pump out any way and would be working around the alternator.

Autostrassa seemed well versed with the concept of the conversion as, apparently, it is something they have done themselves for running 100w bulbs on 911's - the earth wires go into melt down otherwise.

In short - I'll let you know how things go.

Ah, the 10th and appointment with your mechanics.

Since they are familiar with the lighting upgrade concept I want you to ask them if they were doing this to their personal car would 100/90 watt bulbs be in order? If they don't have a MOT inspector standing at their side I know what the answer would be.

One way or another I'm going to twist your arm into the 100/90 watters.[:)]
