How many miles on your 944

Mine has just under 85,000 miles and was registered on Sept 88 - It started it's life as a demonstrator, then the guy that first bought it had it until 18 months ago (managed to verify the mileage

), since then it was owned by trader that apart from servicing it and doing the belts did really little to maintain it . . . I have had it about 8 weeks and have done loads - inner sun roof seal (has been leaking for ages and is finally drying out), repaired the sun roof mechanism, stripped out both window winder assy, dropped the diff / gearbox oil and refilled will Swepco, fitted half reasonable JVC head unit, Cobra CAT1 oh and a N/S wheel bearing (we have a press @ work

) . . . I think I paid over the odds 4 it @ £3200 but hey ho . . . such is life

No, sounds OK for an '88, as it's pretty well one owner and you've verified the mileage etc.

I have a genuine 27,536 miles on my 1992 K plated 944 cab that I have just bought, having scruitinised the sevice history before handing over the ridiculously low sum of £12,500. Well I think it's low. That awfully nice Eastendr chap Rick Cannell has taken a photo of it as well as most of the other cars at Cornbury and you can view it on his very interesting and infomative site.
