I can't quite believe it....I have my dream car!

The HID kit from Carnewal is pretty good for under a hundred quid - a very good upgrade!

100 cell cat improves responsiveness but is a little pricey for the reward I would agree....

Looks stunning and wise choice. I agree with what you said, pay a bit more and get a good un!! Also wise move over a 996 ( i will get stick over that!! ) and enjoy.....

Hello everyone,
I've been reading through this forum for months now, and thought it was about time to post something.
Like Dom I've decided it's time to take the plunge and realise my lifelong car fantasy. I've just started physically looking at 993's and annoyingly the first manual (and second 911/993!) I've driven I think might be the one!!! it's really frustrating because I wanted to look at loads and be able to compare them and choose the best of them. I know patience is a virtue, but I've never been good at that.
Am I jumping the gun? or do you just know when something is right? it's got great history and all the options I want, the only thing is miles are slightly higher than I'd like, but I'm going to be putting plenty on as it'll be my daily drive.
I think I just need a little reassurance!
oh, nice car Dom, you've got a beauty there!

no porsche yet either, but soon [:D]

I hope you'll be going for the 993 wheels rather than the 997 ones? they just look wrong on a 993 IMO

I know what you mean, I prefer the cup 3's to, but 'wheel' ( sorry[&o]) have to see.
They look pretty good in the flesh, but could do with a refurb.

Paul

getting closer to a 993 by the day!!

I'm with Dominic on the wheels - plus 19" wheels on a 993 are likely to mess up the handling. (Although those wheels are by far the best 997 wheels available IMHO - but they are just wrong on a 993)

to be honest, the handling was ok, as far as I could tell, the car doesn't have the m033 option so the 19's didn't fee to harsh either, it seemed very comfortable to be honest!!

Well I've been patiently waiting two long weeks to let this one out of the bag. I went to pick up my dream car today after agreeing to buy 2 weeks ago [:D]

I've loved 911's forever and always promised myself one. However since seeing and completely falling for an Arctic Silver 993 C2S about 5 yrs ago I started to become seriously obsessed!

3 yrs ago I bought myself a nice shiny new Audi TT 3.2 as I thought it a far more sensible choice than the aging 993. However as enjoyable as the TT was to own, the damn 993 itch wouldn't subside! so this year I though balls to it I'm having one and be damned with the consequences! I put the TT up for sale and started to seriously hunt the C2S of my dreams.

After a few thousand refreshes the PH and Auto Trader Classifieds and regular hits on specialists websites, I started to unearth a handful of likely candidates. I even viewed a couple but I was very disappointed. Problem is I have impossibly high standards and accept very little in the way of compromise. So it had to be a C2S, had to be Arctic Silver, had to have black or grey interior, 18" rims, no body mods, excellent history, low miles and totally immaculate bodywork. A tall order indeed for a 10+ yr old car.

After thinking I would never find my dream car I clicked on the Paragon site just once more only to be greeted by what looked like my ultimate grail car! I called them asap and had a chat about it. By the end of a 2 minute conversation about the car I had landed a 2k deposit on it! They promised me if it wasn't as good as they said it was I could have the deposit back no worries so that was me sold!

I viewed the car and managed to pick a few little faults but on the whole it was amazing! the best I had ever seen in fact. It's like it's been kept in a bubble. It's wearing 52k now and has had all the major work done like clutch, suspension etc.

I had to wait two weeks for Paragon to perfect it for me and they gave it a massive service + a fresh MOT so I'm all set for a good year at least [:D]

Now I know a few of you may scoff at the price of Paragon cars but for me it was worth every penny knowing the car is all up together both mechanically and cosmetically for a good time to come. They only buy the best examples so for that you have to pay your money. If you can compromise then all power to you, I can't.

The drive from East Sussex to home in Wiltshire was a joy. Even in the pouring rain and M25 traffic jams I couldn't stop grinning [:D]

Managed to get a couple of sneaky pics before it got too dark and moody [8D]

Well done Sir - One fine automobile!

But I do see a discussion on colour...

I'm a Polar Silver man myself, I prefer the inclusion of the blue hues (Not to memtion the anorak.....)

I bought a turbo 2 from Paragon. I also agree I paid top dollar for it but it was worth very penny.

When I collected it I noticed it had 4 new tyres on it. amd nobody thought to even mention it.

Yep mine has new tyres and freshly refurbished rims. I believe the previous owner fitted the tyres but as you say they weren't even mentioned as a selling point. But then I guess as they have this policy it'll be the same with all their cars.

We replace any tyres with tread under 4mm, so the tyres on each Paragon Approved Porsche are new or nearly new. We carefully examine the brake discs and pads, replacing them if necessary.

1st thing i would do is sell those ghastly inappropriate wheels on ebay for someone with a newish car to benefit from(and you financially)[;)]
or keep them for track days

How do you guy's know what I would do before I even buy the car!!!
I'm going toget the car inspected soon, seems to be right going by the work done and way it goes

Gotta be arctic silver. That bronze tint is quite sexy.
Polar silver is too "glinty". You need to wear shades during the winter.
