I got to be pit crew for a 964 for a day

ORIGINAL: Steve Brookes

No probs going OT guys....I'm pleased you've all found the subject interesting [:)]. And to to go OT again, is it normal on a rolling start for all us pit crew guys [;)] to be be cleared off the pit wall for the start of the race like we were at Donington?

Yes, I'm afraid so. And for a normal start.

ummm, will be a shame, I dont think I'll do it if thats the case, would rather go back to sprint racing with identical cars.

Please check the proposal with the Mag 7 co-ordinator & tell him your view. I'm really not 100% on the plans for next year & Peter is the authority on this, along with Hugo in the CSCC Office. We want to keep competitors & not have them move elsewhere so if you are concerned, let them know. The club will listen to all views.

Thanks Andy - will do!

And Steve as said that is standard protocol for all racing not just CSCC. Starts are clearly the most dangerous time, so they clear the pit wall in case of debris thrown up from an accident.
