New member
Just got my first porsche yesterday, a 944 S2 and it is absoloutley brilliant so far really pleased with it.
Thanks for all your help on what to look for it has really helped and I think I've got myself quite a good car well looked after.

Thanks for all the really nice comments everyone, so far it has been a real joy to drive and look at too just cleaned it today (well my brother did because he wanted to[:)] find that very odd indeed) and also tried out some Led Zep and Pink Floyd on the CD player and it of very good quality

Congrats Jonathan, sure looks nice in the pic. [8D]

What will be the first extra thing you buy for her? New floor mats, new gear gaitor, maybe one of Ricks spoiler decals? [:D]

Lovely looking motor. If I see you around I'll give you a wave.
and likewise I will do the same and you live in Devon too north or south if you don't mind me asking?

It has already had a new gear gaitor recently but I do quite like the look of those spoiler decals it just looks so right like the sort of thing porsche would of done originally had they thought of it in the first place.
and thanks once again for all the nice comments.
Also got another pic here of a 1/43 scale model of a 944 S2 on the back of the car even the model looks good

Nice one - looks good (apart from being red [;)])

If you still want to meet up when I get back from NZ then we can do and answer as many of the "is that normal" questions you'll have by then.

I would certainly like to meet up still, I don't have any questions yet (still time) mostly because I can't go very far on the fuel until I get payed in a few weeks, too much porsche stuff bought on ebay.

I live in Exmouth but travel into Exminster most days so we're not too far apart.

Perhaps you could cover:-

Damp carpets
Trip Meter
Clock Bulb
Dash Illumination
Light switch bulb (we haven't had that for a bit)
Hot or Cold Heating
Sun Roof Operation
Notchy Gear Change when cold incl. poor 1st to 2nd shift
Gearbox noise
Tramlining
Cam chain follower
Water Pump
Cam Belts
968 Wishbone mounts
Lethargic starter motors
Calliper shim lift

Damn, can't think of anything else. [:D] Oh, pink paintwork, it being red and all.

Congratulations on the new car RC'. I hope you have many happy years together. Well done on not being dawn to the Dark Side of boost; you might stand some chance of maintaining a bank balance. []

I have a relative who lives in Exmouth who we occasionaly see so we may well see each other then just look out for some young person wearing a porsche baseball cap (sad I know) in the car and that'll be me.

Grindy gurgley noise from steering pump and clutch rubber bung thingy breaking up are a couple more old favourites.

Oh, and lower wishbone ball joints.
Liquid crystal draining out of the clock display
Cracking tops to dash boards
Tailgate remote release not working
Hand brake adjustment
Brake and petrol pipes.
