I think I'm coming back... (996TT)

Just to add something to the remap bit of this thread....

I've just had my Turbo remapped at Northway Porsche. I don't have any proof (yet) as to what HP she now has but they say they have increased the HP from 420 to 500 with just the remap. Something has definitely changed for my £550 quid - for the very first time on a dry road, with PSM ON, I managed to break the rear grip on launch at a traffic light. Gave me a bit of a fright because she's never done that before but flippin' eck - the difference is noticeable. Gave her a little squirt or three on the way home along the M4 - VERY NICE. ;)

The drive is smoother and the pick-up from any speed is even better now than it was before, with a little less lag from the turbos. One of these days I'll take it somewhere so I can see exactly what she's putting out now.

The car has gone from monster to incredible hulk... and there was no change of exhaust (yet).

Cheers
Chris

I like the more pull anywhere bit :) that's the bit I remember best from my Audi S3 remap. It became so effortless to cover ground and finally felt like it was trying.

Grrr I'm wearing a groove in my carpet! Someone come and take my 944 away so I can pick up my 996 (again), and get it mapped this time!
