Hi all.
Has anyone had experience with Porschtec in Leeds, or any other indy in the area that warrants
recommendation?
Many thanks
Richard

I've just had my 968 gearbox rebuilt by Sam Lander in Norton, just outside Malton. He is ex-Specialist Cars, but doesn't charge their labour rates!
I can recommend him, but I suppose it depends how far he is away from you.

PorscheTek are highly recommended, a number of members use them are happy.

I use RPM in Knaresborough and have been very happy with them over the last 13 years.

Also Strasse in Leeds, Performance Porsche on Brighouse.

Has anyone got a recommendation for someone to fit an IMS Bearing for a 986 Boxster S near Teesside or North Yorkshire please? Also, best bearing option as not sure whether to go for the EPS Cylindrical bearing or the LN Engineering option
Thanks for any advice
Ian

Car Tech and Care, just off the A1 near Scotch Corner. Give David a call. He is PCGB approved and does excellent work.

I don't think there is any such thing as "PCGB Approved", the Club never approves any suppliers.

It may partner with sponsors, and clearly recommends Porsche. But approval is a whole different kettle of fish that it doesn't want to get into.

That's not what their website claims, Mark.....

Even has a Club logo

Their website may say it but it doesn't make it so. I have never heard of such a thing so will check with the office.

I do notice that the approved appears to be related to motorsport though, so maybe it is a different thing.

Yes I found that, still not "PCGB Approved" though, that's just a list of race preparers. Approved brings with it a whole set of connotations that I don't think the Club would be prepared to open themselves up to.
