Hi everyone, this is my first post here - new PCGB member and first ever Porsche due to arrive in three weeks. I picked up a reference to A-Plan insurance brokers (01635 874646) on another forum. They gave me the best quote underwritten by Royal Sun Alliance, invoice value replacement for first 12 months.

Just to prove how unpredictable the insurance market is, I have had a quote from A Manning today no better than last years renewal ( £950 odd ) !
Max no claims, no convictions, less than 5k per annum, low risk area etc etc, I should get free insurance !

That does sound excessive. My premium is circa £1,100 (£800 excess), 3 years NCB, 3 points and £78k invoice value.

Try Admiral, I got a quote of 663 pounds for an 05 Boxster 2.7!!
Yes, but they do not cover you for your options.
No doubt they did not ask you about options, as they charge extra for eacxh one, and do not cover them if you claim (they only cover the "Base" price).
If you have not declared the options - then they can refuse to pay out...
