insurance recommendations

That was interesting ... Just tried MoneySupermarket and got quotes in range from £378 (Swiftcover; including me and wife and business use and one at-fault claim in 2005) to £1009 (kwik fit), with every quote beating my existing insurers who wanted £1323 !!

Anyone had any experience of SwiftCover ?
 
Here a tip, avoid Admiral, although there premium might look cheap unless you give them a detailed list of any factory fitted extras your car has on it they will not be covered.



 
Ended up going with Academy (even though I did have to ring them back, as they never called me back!), as when I went to the Its4me.co.uk website and checked the T&Cs in detail, I found the excess to be £1,000 (£500 compulsory + £500 voluntary - that's something that's not made clear on the quotation summaries provided by the MoneySupermarket.com website!).

So, policy taken out at £700, with a £550 excess, SDP&C, PNCB, plus spouse to drive, x1 SP30 and x1 accident...
 
Very true BB_996. You do have to check the quote on the actual site. But money supermarket is a very good starting point
