Insurance?

Paul You're right of course that it's a liquid market, but that doesn't stop people asking and it is indeed one of the most frequent questions that people come in here to ask. I'm posting a summary now dating back to last December. Of course people will need to shop around but at least it will save everyone a lot of typing the same info time after time in response to questions if we can put it in the FAQ and people keep it up to date as they renew.

I've just stickied it. Or stuck it. Whatever! [:D] Not trying to say it's not a worthwhile idea, just that I've often had people moan about insurance. Things like "I'm the same age as him but my quote is ten times higher". Everyone can only get the best deal if they do their own research, relying on forum recommendations isn't going to be your only option. Certainly a list of insurers who specialise in classic cars would be a good thing, if someone wants to draw up a list then it can be added to the "suppliers" faqs. Still with the caveat that specialists aren't best for many owners, just as comparison sites aren't great for some people. How about one big sentence that reads "for insurance, spend a day on the phone"? [&:]
