Insurance

Try A Manning as well - they've been good to me. Incidentally, you have the right to take your car to the repairer of your choice no matter WHAT the insurer says their policy or preferred repairer is.

Helllo Mark, Yes, I did ask Manning to quote - £705, so unfortunately not very competitive. Adrian Flux came in at £400, which was good, but that excl. recovery/b'down which would put another £52 on it. Interestingly though, this was with Aviva - my current insurer, who are now uncompetitive, at £564, through Marsh/Porsche. This car insurance game is strange!!

Try Heritage, my quote was £385 (Aviva policy) 06 2.7 Boxter, Fully Comp, with RAC Gold Breakdown and Euro cover. Easy to deal with, and, you actually speak to a human!!! It took 25 mins. Contact details in Porsche Post [;)]

Just been ringing around myself as mine comes up towards the end of July. So far Manning are the most expensive (but actually the most comprehensive when it comes to repairers, track days, etc) and Classic Line the cheapest (by far). Adrian Flux, Performance Marque and Heritage to ring next... To some extent, you get what you pay for. Admiral are absurdly cheap (especially if you put two cars on the same policy), but they must be for a reason.

got mine through autotrader with aviva @ £270 inc protected no-claims,legal protection, excess £250, have over 10 years no claims and am 41 years old..think i did it through confused.com after using martin lewis website..

Search for Admiral on the forum and you'll find why. They basically don't cover the full value of your car - in fact you might find yourself uninsured. As for A Manning. I am insured with them and they have been consistently helpful. In fact when I needed to make a claim (my roof got sliced open by some lowlife in Corsica), I had a problem with the policy wording saying one thing, and the Insurers saying something else (the "intention" was not what it said apparrently!) Rather than the long drawn out argument I was getting ready for, Ann Manning herself got in touch with the underwriters, pointed out the policy said such and such, and got them to approve it. Don't underestimate the value of having a decent insurance broker you can actually deal with, rather than some faceless call centre.

Hi I am with Performance Direct and they have also just insured my husband's GT3 with the best quote and European full cover. Tracy
