Interior Colour Code Question

I understand that the silver 'Millennium' crest was used on 986/996 models for year 2000 only. The silver crest should not be seen on any other model year.

These models are worth significantly more, than those with the standard coloured crest, particularly in Zenith Blue.

I hope that is not what the previous owner said when selling it to you [
