Is 993RS ownership catching ?

Like you I had owned a few specialist Porsche before I got my first 993 RS, I recall my initial impressions were good, but I was not exactly blown away.
I found the car took a couple of months to grow on me as I got to understand it's competence, particularly how it felt on track.
So all I am saying is,,,,, give it a while, don't come on here tomorrow and say the steering is lighter than your 964RS and it is not as fast as an X50 996....hopefully after you have got a few miles under the wheels you will understand what the 993RS ia all about ! [

My new toy ... but may need some help, please, with the history ... !
(Yes, it's raining here as well !)
Know the car well, have been in it with the previous owner to yours and the one before that. All I can say is you have a very nice car with a history which is second to none - esp the early years and the drivers who put the original miles on the car.

You must have been reading my Wife's mind ...
Changing cars is an evolution, but there comes a point where the selection has been refined to an art form.
This is where I have found myself with the later air cooled cars, --- tough enough to live out, but soulful enough to be savoured over time.
It's been a very long journey over many years, but I think I am getting there.
My daily driver will be a 968CS --- the others will be driven at least every week (or so), with the intention of tracking them and building around 3000 miles per annum. This should keep them in good condition and also preserve the pension plan.
Zub, I would like to fill in as much of the history of the 993RS as I can, I'm sure there's a real story to be told with this one.
The X50 is the odd man out ... !

Looks like an honest, clean, one-owner UPVC Staybright conservatory with Victorian window option. [
That's a nice stable of cars you have their Chris. Very jealous. Now get on with building them a stable!

chris, is that the ex-porsche development car, as originally run by the british 993 designer? nice collection you are building there. well done.
The very one.
I had agreed a purchase with Steve at Silverstone but cash flow was a bit of an issue and the history fascinates me, as the file of paperwork suggests that it has fascinated all the car's previous owners. I had to sit on my fingers for a couple of weeks ...
What I would like to do is get a list of the named drivers and see what we know about them ? --- Whist the Porsche development car !!!
P.S. Pasenger rides ? You bet. Could do with some tuition !
