IS IT COMFORTABLE?

I have an MY03 S and thought on sports seats and ruffled leather. Did a driving day at Thruxton and then Chobham on standard seats and found them fine also a friend of mine had ruffled seats with 27k miles on them and thought them scruffy. BTW I am 5'11" and a not so svelte 14.5 stones

Not knowing your humour or contributions to this forum Tim (which seem vast looking at the No's) , comments like that (although maybe in jest) seem unwarranted.

I thought it was quite funny actually Tim - I can't think how anyone could take offence to this considering how much "glorified Beetle/not a proper Porker/Ugly Cayenne/hairdressers 2.7 etc" and other leg pulling goes on here.

We need a bit of lighthearted humour on here I think.

For the record I have a hairdressers 2.7, and I'm a skinny rake like you....

Are you sure Tim C is still a skinny rake, I haven't seem him since before Xmas and I bet he has put on loads of weight.

My theory is that Tim only losses weight during the track day season due to the regular full body evacuations that result from being a passenger in Andy Timms car.

Hi ADF,

I am almost exactly the same size as you, and have the "standard" leather seats.

Although the car is great, I have to confirm your fears about comfort after an hour or so. I am afraid a numb bum is order of the day.

At 5'10'' I have the seat back as far as it will go, and would prefer more room. I am surprised that these 6'3'' guys seem to get so comfy.

Yeh, I am a bit of a lard arse!

Im 6"2' 13.5 stone and have an 'S' with the Porsche sports seats installed and the only thing that i would like to change is the leg room, id like the seat to go back just another inch, the head room and steering rake adjustments suit me just fine though.

Its a comprimise between all things, driving on an Motorway you can have the wheel pushed well in / forward but when in town a six footer + will have small problems with the steering wheel / hands / knees coliding unless the wheel is pulled toward the driver.
This was also a problem in my 964 but harder to adjust as the steering was fixed.

I drove 450 miles in one go in the Boxster apart for a 2 minute nature break and i can honestly say i was feeling great at the other end.

The other day i had a friend who is 6"6 and it was near impossible for him to get into the car, he certainly wouldnt be able to drive it [;)]

Get the standards seats.
I'm 6 foot and was 15 stone.
My wife has a dodgy back, BUT when we drove over 3000 miles round France last year we always got out the car with no ill effects whatsoever.
Go for it.

I have the standard seats, 6' 1 and 14 stone. I find the legroom fine, and dont even push the seat all the way back. However, I find myself having to lean forwards otherwise the top of my view would be obscured by the low roofline. I think on some long journeys this is causing the lower back-ache I sometimes get.[8|]
