... note he originally translated it as "this THREAT" is nothing.... hmmm, maybe T and D are close on a German keyboard.... ;-)
... it was just bad spelling... maybe Mr. Freud would have loved that, couldn´t it be a threat, that thing you haven´t collected yet?

That has given me some pretty good links with the factory, so I've found out quite a bit about the 924 restoration project on the Freisinger website...
Simple question really... how much is an ex-werks 911 rally car worth?
Then consider the fact that unless you have an actual werks car, there are so many 911's in historic tours etc at the moment that getting an entry is virtually impossible.
It turns out that the 924 (which I've bought) is one of the oldest 924 Turbos in the World (so old it has a 924 chassis #, not a Turbo) and it was one of the 4 cars taken out to the Safari rally in 1979 by the factory team.
So you've got an historic Porsche werks rally car, that is one of only a handful that have survived (1 of the 4 was destroyed), and most of the others are in museums looking like they will never run again. Should be assured of a few invitations!
So yes, water-cooled and front engined and needing a lot of love and attention right now... but driven by Juergen Barth on behalf of the factory....
Would you rather own this or put money in the bank right now?
