Is this the lowest mileage Turbo in the UK

Worth £6k as it's having the sun-visor clips replaced before selling! [&:]

How many times do we read "air con needs a re-gas"? Why don't sellers spend the money and advertise it as fully-working, surely worth doing unless there are deeper problems lurking!

Reserve not met, so the seller might want a whole load more than the current bid though. It's certainly not the lowest mileage out there, John B's turbo cab is about half that IIRC for a start, but if the history is right it looks a nice car.

There are only 56k miles on mine. Ive done a load of bits and pieces over the years. Loads of seals and pipes needed replaced due to the car standing for long periods. Lack of use is really bad for the 944. Mine takes a long time when I lie it up to get sharp again. The recent daily use and the run to Silverstone really brought the car out of itself. You are better to get one with daily usage and a good history. Miles dont really matter as long as they are documented. I didnt get any service history with mine and I had to start form "Ground 0" 8 years ago....... The project is still ongoing. I still have a load of stuff to attend to before I even contemplate the air-con [:D]

I am sure this is a fantastic car. Looks really good.. I dont think the stone protectors should need changing after 53k miles unless bodywork has been done. Unless its a different item that he is talking about.

No, mine is.....

It has just passed 1,000 miles after being run in, looks like the day it came out of the factory.
I have decided I'm going to sell it, will be looking for around £15K

Simon, that's a great looking car. Can't think why you would think of selling it, but more importantly, now might not be the best time to get top dollar, which it sounds like you're after. Good luck though.

The only thing letting the Maraschino one down is the interior. A nice studio cloth is what it needs.....[:D]

Nice, but think I'd be more tempted with:-

Appears to be one of the non-rose coloured examples of a Turbo S/SE.

Me too [:D]

Oh hang on a minute, I already have one of those non rose coloured Turbo S [;)]

Although mine is an even better colour [:)]

I offered the previous owner around £4k for it, he refused, a week later this trader was advertising it for £4.5k.

Is that orange-peel or just lack of shine across the whole bonnet in the big picture? Either way it looks terrible.

£15k? dream on mate!

I hear what you are saying, but you haven't seen the car. Simon has totally rebuilt it and totally respayed it with the meticulous attention to detail that he is known for. It is as close to a brand new 944T as you could possibly want with only 1000 miles on the new engine

Obviously it has a very limited marketplace with only a handful of people in the country possibly prepared to buy it, but time will tell.

You just need one person to buy it at the end of the day,it is quite to very expensive but what else of the same quality- fully rebuilt- as new can you get with that performance for 15k?There was an expensive late (90 i think) original turbo with ultra low miles a couple of years ago, that sold(at a show). If its a rare car (and it is) and marketed properly i bet someone will buy it for very close to the asking price with patience.A white 91 with V low miles sold fairly recently it was advertised at over 12k,that was original and old, this one is a fresh rebuild. In a couple of years when everyone realise how good turbos are and our cars start to go up in value by 2 or 3 times it will be looked back on as a bargain![:D][:D]
With it being very shiny and very red(a very popular colour for people with real taste[:D]) that will no doubt help too!
P.S The under bonnet photo is stunning....drool!

You're so right Paul in fact if someone sat and worked out how much it would cost them to bring the car they own now to the same standard it would be interesting to compare how close to the 15k it actually is.

I always wanted a 944 and have paid close to 9k for the 2 cars I have had (combined) and I got a 2k trade in for the lux so realistically 7k would be closer to the mark but 15k for a car in such a restored state even if it is old I think is in the offering range for it.especially considering the cost when new..... to add to this my car has had 7.5k spent on it by previous owners in only the last 3 years with reciepts and history from 2 well known and respected established independents both the turbo and wastegate have been replaced along with other work so the 15k mark is so close albeit over a period of a couple of years .

My first year budget has just gone into sump gasket, rear wheel bearing ,exhaust and tyres so just over the 1k we say to allow in the first year, considering the condition of my car and the fact it will need some bodywork which I am leaving to next year then as I said earlier 15k for a 100% straight car with an as new engine is a reasonable price to work around

The handfull of people you refer to are most probably amongst the true enthusiasts who we all know and speaking for myself it is space and money I use my 944 daily as a second car to travel 9 miles to work and visit clients. If I were in the buying mind then it is certainly a car I would consider paying for in preference to a much newer regular ordinary car for the same money.

It has interested me the way this thread has enlightened the low mileage cars that are still out there the original comment drawing attention to the listing from ebay as it is a car I did not know of and of much lower mileage than most I have seen with little wear on the interior 2 years ago Iwas asked to estimate a price on a 968 cab M plate one owner from new with 25k on it I have not seen the car but know it is still there as it belongs to one of my clients He bought it for his wife new and she did not like it, then I told him around 16k, he agreed this to be around the right figure I could have it at any time but it still sits in his heated garage with a cover the comment here is further quantifying 15k for a as near as new 944 turbo being correct.

If Porsche were to re release the 944 T to exactly the same 250 spec as were the later ones what would be the showroom price ???the Boxster starts at £33, 375 inc vat

In many areas it is probably better than when it left the factory, certainly better than an original low mileage car unless it has been very very well looked after.

Not the best pic in the world - camera phone - it doesn't really do it justice - It is superb,
Tony
