Is this the lowest mileage Turbo in the UK

As I said in another thread recently the differnece in cost between buying a nice car and buying a poor one and trying to make it nice is significant - in favour of buying a nice one to start with. Simon's car takes "nice" to the extreme and it probably wouldn't be one for me as it would be a shame to use it and risk picking up minor chips and scrapes, but I bet even if he gets £15k for it he isn't making any money on it - certainly when he factors in the time he must have spent on it at least.

On the other hand I don't really agree with the "nothing comes close for performance at the money" idea - there are a number of cars available now at low £20k range (new) which would be worth similar money at 2-3 years old which have similar performance to a 944T, and if you extend the scope to other older cars there are a number of other options also. As we have discussed before the 944's USP is the combination of balance, handling, performance and practicality. It can easily be beaten at a lot less than £15k in any one of those areas, but nothing else provides the full package.

Last thing to consider - when people still pay north of £10k quite happily for a 968 then I'd say Simon's car must be worth all of £15k, but then those of us in the know realise that a 944T and 968 of similar mileage and condition should be worth similar money (or the 944T slightly more IMO). In fact a 944S2 and a 968 in similar condition should be worth similar money as they are basically the same car.
