It all adds up !! % of value

Ah, OK, that makes more sense!

(I was just getting quite worried that I was doing something wrong!)

That is slightly cheaper than I am running mine for. In fact, quite a bit cheaper given you are including insurance and road tax. BUT you have a longer sample period, and I know my shorter sample period is an expensive one.

Out of interest, what bills did you meet for this? Belts/Shock Absorbers/Clutch?

Oli.

Belts £800 (including water pump, rollers, gaskets, etc), done at local garage
Shock absorbers £600, done myself
Clutch £1200, (including fork, pilot bearing, TO bearing guide, master and slave cylinders, etc), done at local garage

Paul,

Your 34p plays my 36p ... remarkably similar.

Also interesting that the boostie boys on here are posting significantly larger p/mile figures for their cars. Maybe I am better sticking with my S2 after all ...

Only when you start modding them. In the 4 years before I lost my head and succumbed to that new engine my S2 and Turbo were virtually identical in running costs

Fair enough.

'Lost your head'? I have been very impressed with everything I have read about your monster wagon. If that is 'losing your head', I hope to lose mine some day as well ....
