Clarkson says "white" is the colour for this year - that's if you believe everything he says!!

I wouldn't sit in a pub with a group of 'friends' , and when one brings along his new girlfriend say out loud in front of him ' she's nice but I don't like her hair & she a bit too fat' . Just because we are on a public forum doesnt mean we can't have manners [8|]

Good point well made James.
I think that a Forum is a fair place for an exchange of views, and Delbox is entitled to his comment.
My wife wanted her new Boxster in 'Blood Orange'. Great colour for certain 911s/914s, but a bit of an over-statement on a Boxster. In the end she relented because it would only work with a 'black' interior which she hated.

James, there is a time and place for everything! If the aim of this forum is to compliment everyone's car then I suggest that we agree a specification and ask Porsche to produce a million clones! If I'm not entitled to my opinion then why are those who have made positive comments about the car not being criticised. Following your reasoning, I suppose it would be okay to say, ' She's beautiful, great body, you're lucky to be able to.......!' Of course it wouldn't! Consequently, I object strongly to your assertion that I don't have manners; you don't know me or anything about me![]

I was not trying to imply you or anyone on here doesn't have manners. Its the age old discussion on how things are posted / interpretted over the web and wether we would say the same things in the 'real world'.
I'm sure if your post had started, 'love the car, not my choice of colour or wheels...' I would have 'read' it as a positive opinion , unfortunatly I interpretted it as ' it looks s-h-i-t-e ' , which I thought was unneccesary.
Guess we have just had a communication problem []
As a point of interest, when John 1st told me he had a white Boxster, I wasn't sure what to expect as white cars have never appealed to me. When I saw their last one in the 'flesh' I was very suprised, it looked superb & made a change from all the black & silver ones you always see []

James, while I do see your point we also have to remember, we aren't in a pub with mates, we are in a public internet forum with strangers - and posting a picture is inviting people to comment, hence you must take the comments good or bad. I thought delbox made his point without being rude, he expressed his opinion and then wished the owner well - which is fair enough to me. This (and other) forum would be dull if we all kept our opinions to ourself.
