Have sent details of the dates available for a vist to Jaguar to see the XK150 production line to your R10 porsche Club email. We can also get to the Heritage Centre if interested

Geoff

Am I correct in thinking it's slightly smaller than the XK8/R series and has a tad too much chrome on the boot lid and around the backend? if so, then there is one knocking around (infrequently) in the MK area.

Dave

My fault internal, X150 line XK8 replacement slightly bigger than XK8 and all alum.
Superb exhaust note! (at long last)

Good to see this is prompting interest [:)]. When I eventually find a little time to organise this (likely to be arranged for a date in April/early May) it would be good to see some interest from R10 members too [8|][;)]!

Don't worry Mike I'm definately interested (I just didn't want to jump the gun like all these outsiders [;)] until we knew some possible dates [:)])

All
We have now confirmed the date will be Thursday 3rd May. The tour will start at 1:00 and will last for approx 2 hours( wear comfortable shoes) all to meet at the Visitor Centre on Chester Road Castle Bromwich works. I will send map out to all who require it. Plant is less than 5 mins from junction 5 (northbound only). If we have enough interest may be able to get to museum based in Coventry plant ( 25 min drive) after the visit to Castle Bromwich. Let me know if you would like this adding on and i will see what can be arranged. The tour at Castle Bromwich will be limited to the new X150 sports car.
Numbers are limited to max of 40, region 10 members obviously get first call but all are welcolme if space allows
Please email me at grbspeedster@hotmail.co.uk so i can generate a list ( with reserves if needed)
Thanks
Geoff

I did this tour last year with the 997 register...
The tour is a great insight in Jaguar, you do get to see quite alot, unlike the Porsche factory tour you do see the Robots and people building the bodies, you also get to see the finishing of the paintwork.
One group has a pretty average guide, however our guide was excellent and had quite a banter about Porsche v Jaguar [:D].

The guide at Browns lane museum is full of history and knowledge, worth the visit to listen to him...

I hope you get plenty of support for this event
