Dropped off my carrera today for it's service at Edinburgh and spotted yours!!!!!
Was hoping you'd be in the garage for a blether!!!

Got a nice bright red Boxster S to play with for 3 days.......pity it's peeing down
and my dog isn't well!! Lovely little car with nice spec. Could be tempted!!!!!![;)]

Regrettably none of the above ... my car is making a funny noise and is in there for them to evaluate. I am presently waiting by the phone to hear the verdict, with fingers firmly crossed.

I took the train from Newcraighall into town (very useful) where I promptly got soaked. Wasn't really my day yesterday, as I had woken up feeling lousy into the bargain. So lousy I didn't even go into the Church's shop (it was that bad!)

Kim, after a service and tyres you won't be able to afford to eat, let alone buy shoes! [:D]

My doc changed some of my medication a few days back, and told me it might make me feel "a bit queasy". In fact what he actually meant was that I would feel like I'd been run over by a train ... sheesh! [:'(]
 
Oh no John, that sounds a bit rubbish. Hopefully the medication will balance itself out soon enough and you'll be back on form for the next lunch sesh. I'm off to the quacks myself right now to see if they will sign me off to fly. Fingers Crossed the blood pressure and iron levels have righted themselves x

So here's the full story ...

I thought I noticed an slight change in engine noise, so took the car to the Edinburgh OPC last week for an opinion. Tech's listened to it and said they would need it in to evaluate, so I booked it in this week.

Just got it back with a report that basicly says "Yes there is a noise, but we don't know what it is" ... that'll be £227 thank you.

One VERY unhappy (ex) customer of Edinburgh OPC.

So no doubt you are constructing a letter to the dealer principal as we speak !!that is outrageous and equates to 3 hrs labour and nothing done but to agree with your diagnosis
Think a trip to Big Peter is in hand

Ordinarily that's exactly what I'd do, but somehow I have kinda lost the will to argue with these folk. I just kow I'd be battering my head against a brick wall. Indeed this whole episode has rather soured me against Porsche, and I came close to trading the car in for something else this afternoon, only the truth is there is nothing out there in the market that I really want.

Another day and normal service has been resumed ... stroppy letter composed and duly sent!
