Just got it back with a report that basicly says "Yes there is a noise, but we don't know what it is" ... that'll be £227 thank you.

One VERY unhappy (ex) customer of Edinburgh OPC.

[]

I've not taken my car to Edinburgh (or any other) OPC for a while but way back when I did there was a couple of times when they carried out investigative work for me and did not charge when they couldn't solve the problem. One time in particular must have taken them a couple of hours at least.

Maybe they just don't do customer service ... or maybe they need every penny they can get just now.[8|]

Another day and normal service has been resumed ... stroppy letter composed and duly sent!

[]

Update ... delighted to say that OPC Edinburgh took my letter on the chin, phoned me up, agreed I had not had a great outcome, and have agreed to take the car back at their expense and investigate it more thoroughly, refering the matter to Porsche if they cannot find the problem. That's more like it! [:)]

Sometimes it pays to complain!

Are they refunding your money for the first episode ??

Hmmm, that subject was rather skillfully steered around, but frankly I'm OK with it as long as I get some sort of outcome. Watch this space I guess.

great news John. All they need to do now is get their service department to return calls. I'm still waiting on them to call back about fitting airbag deactivation kit. Thats been 3 calls from me to them, and no return call. Getting a bit peeved off, so might try the new pone in Glasgow!

I was far from impressed with Edinburgh Porsche when I went to view a Cayman recently.

The car was still at the coachworks when I arrived to view it, salesman told me it was getting some stone chips touched up. when it did arrive at the garage it was filthy and need a good valeting.
It drove well enough but I was drawn to some blooming on the front bumper and on closer inspection realsised that most of the car had been resprayed, the paint was still so soft that I could mark the paint with my finger nails, needless to say I walked away from it.

Not impressed.

oh Dear that is a shame. You should let them know that you weren't impressed and while you're at it, ask them to return my call.......still waiting!
