Hey Des this is in the wrong section no? That engine started life as a 3.2 carrera engine didn't it. Bob said it's a waste of time getting a turbo as most of the engine bits are no good for a serious power hike, And accordingly the correct basis is a supersport. Cracking engine build on that . Ian cameron sports cars have sold it at least twice and whilst over their on other business and looking at it , I was most tempted and at the time it was good value. Back then it had horrible split rim cup 3 twists on it and they didn't suit it with it's lightweight bumpers and all. The response from the engine is "electric" ,But alas as you have found out ,the price for that power from an essentially old design is fuel inefficiency. Thank god they hadn't invented an trip computer on it, but then again they would have only needed a single digit to encompass the full range of achievable consumption! Are you at the oulton rs day with it in a few weeks time?

Hi Colt,
Well it's really docile in traffic and frugal off the throttle, achieving about 30mpg at a constant 50 -60 MPH driving it off the Turbo .... That can dramatically change once you put the foot down, similar to my 996 GT3 Mk1, which drank fuel on track. Most economic Porsche I own is a 964RS 35 - 40 mpg on a run!
Great car, well sorted a real Bob Watson masterpiece ......

There, fixed it for you.
Fezza starting playing up at the Swanley lights think it was a 430, couple down changes and a bit right foot later with a twist of lefthand lock ... it was all over[
