Trackdays arent a good place to make comparisons though, differing skill of drivers etc. Anyone got any TSL data or published ring times that might show the difference?
I realise this, which is why I tried to validate the comparison. I know myself and the other driver are close enough to make it valid having compaered data log traces after driving the same race cars and also tried to clarify the tyre situation which can be another big factor. As I said though the real comparison is between the cup cars which do show an increase with each new model.
It's only my opinion but Ring times are no place to try and draw comparisons. Local knowledge and bravory have a huge amount to play here. Even 2 factory drivers in the same car on the same day can be 10 to 15 or more seconds apart.

Nah, it was someone much better. []
Sean is the best no one better, that boy can peddle our metal and sum ..... and did you know he is the Stig ... yes he is[]
As stated, an oil change and brake fluid change would be a good idea.
The steering at straight ahead being dead may have been due to the -ve toe. I understand this is quite desirable on a 964.
-ve toe in on the front? Have heard small amount of -ve on ther rear wheels can help with stability (not specifically RS's) and up to -5' is within factory spec but would this really effect the steering? I'm currently running +12' front, +15' rear.

At the RS track day at Oulton earlier this year ChrisW's 964 RS CS was comprehensively blowing off 996/997GT3's, GT3 RS's and GT2's...
...can't think who could have been driving it! []
In one lap of the Brands GP, Sean blew away a Gayardo, an Aston Vantage and 2 GT3 RS. Seeing the rear bumper of the Aston about 2 inches from my front bumper as he cut around it coming out of Clearways was one of those "Oh sh1t, please don't hit it" moments.
That boy can certainly pedal a car.

I'm a little rusty - Toe out is desirable on the 964 unlike my 911's.
