Welkommen Back Herr Gruppenfueher ........................

Looks really nice, body is completely different to a regular bay, but it's different to a split window as well. A rare beast, I presume it's the only one over here?

It is one of 12. Chassis number 000000000000006. It was CoachBuilt by Volkswagen Audi Factory Buenos Aires in 1989 as a special order airport taxi. The rear quarters are unique to a VW Kombi ... the rest is stock 1955 - 1989 it has IRS and a lot of modern running gear .... 1641 Twin 40iDF Webers. Winter project was thinking of a CarreraCup Support Livery ..... well it is a 1989 build! Has anyone got any SuperCup Euro Designs please[:)]

If you are ever thinking of a big 2 litre or bigger motor, give me a shout and I'll put you in tough with my mate Dan.

Thanks Steve, when it was new engine time I bought a Brand New unit Mexican 1600 but had it tuned up to 1641 barrels and pistons with all the other bits to give it more punch not outright performance. I could have gone for a recon 2.0 -2.3 but these are unreliable as you don't know how many times they have been reconditioned the only New Engine was the 1600 Mexican. However does your mate Dan build brand new with completely new parts? Also really looking for a bodyshop, can you recommend one?

Yep, brand new. Case, crank, rods, carbs, fuel injection, turbo's. You name it and he can sort you out. He has also got an account with Gene Berg in the states, if that's your cup of tea. Not sure of any body shops these days, you have to be so careful with a van, if not it ends up all rippled down the sides and looks terrible
