Just got my new C2S and already thinking of some changes - Turbo S wing to go?

Hi there,
I am fortunate to own this car, which I bought from the lovely chaps at 911V last week. It's in frankly ridiculously good condition and I hope to keep it that way whilst still managing to enjoy some memorable trips in it.
Currently, the car has an original Turbo S wing fitted and has had this for years - my 9 year old son LOVES it...but I am already thinking about returning the car to its original spec. Does anyone know the best place to source the parts I'll need and roughly what it should cost? I'm not in a mad rush and love the car as it is, but in the back of my mind, I want that classic profile.
Cheers
James

Looks very nice - guess the twin grill deck for this model will not be easy to source.

Just had a look on e bay and the normal single deck available but not the twin grill.

Try PC.

Yes, does look very nice and so it should!
Whatever you decide to do, if the wing was originally specified and is listed on the option sticker, make sure you keep it for reinstatement if/when you sell the car again[;)].

Agreed, I will keep the wing as you never know, I may want the Turbo look again in the future.
Apologies for my ignorance - what is 'PC'?

Thank you for that link - appreciated.
I need to work out if when my Turbo S spoiler (£3000!!) is removed, what will be underneath it. I think I will need more than an engine cover as if the Turbo S wing is sitting on top of the original spoiler (minus the grill) I'll need a whole new spoiler and parts. I'm not an engineer as you can probably gather :(

Very kind, thank you. Feel very lucky.
May remove the chin spoiler and see what's underneath but should probably just enjoy it as is for a bit. It can become a bit of an obsession otherwise...I suspect you all understand :)
May come to the Ace café meet at beginning of month for a run out so perhaps see some other members there?
Thanks again.

If you are going to buy original Porsche parts for the rear lid then I don't think you will be able to get them any cheaper than from Porsche themselves once you have used the clubs's 10% discount. Any parts for models deemed 'classic' by Porsche, which the 993 is, are only available with limited discount even to the trade. You might want to equate yourself with the PET for the 993 - http://www.porsche.com/al..._993_KATALOG.pdf - as you are likely to require quite a few parts to convert back to standard as I am guessing you won't still have the motor mechanism etc for the lifting spoiler.

As you can see it has option 211 which is "Characteristic ownership feature" probably the spoiler front & back.
The rear one is easier to change but worth just changing the whole lid, the front one is bonded on to the PU so dont try and take it off!

Thank you for that, fab.
I am thinking now that I'll leave well alone if it came with those options from Porsche. I thought it was non-original hence the desire to return it to it's original state.
Thank you for sending me that - the wing stays!
Jim

I did say probably!! Are there any funny little touches inside that you havent seen on any other cars?

The first owner could have asked for a lipstick holder, that would qualify for option 211

Maybe get a COC although that may not show anything more than I listed

Bottom line is the spoilers are Genuine, they look great, leave them on!
