just ordered....

*sharp intake of breath*

Theyre very smart and an impressively well finished product, but the price, at £500, beggars belief! For a road car Id be looking at HID headlamps myself.

Im fitting GTS lamps into my track car, but thats for lightness and simplicity, because they wont actually work at helping me see in the cark very well.....

Ive thought about that too! I think that the plastic cover will cause all manner of problems with the beam, especially with normally focussed lenses. I had my eye on some cheapish projection light lamps in a suitable size, but the American vendor wasnt convincing when I asked him about dipping direction...

Some of the problems can be solved if you use a single position bulb (as opposed to one that moves from the dipped filament to the main beam filaments position): then rely on the driving lamps alone for main beam.

Do you know whether you have Turbo type lamp covers or 924 type parts? If its an original PU then theyll certainly be 951 parts, but if its GRP then they may be either.

These are on my "possibles" list though price and maybe not the greatest beam performance are giving me doubts as to whether to go for it, so your expereinces with them will be very interesting. Am also thinking that HIDs might be a better bet for m,e has anyone any recommendations where to get them from ?

What are these lights you speak of? Had a jeffrey juke on that deutsch nine website but couldnt see anything, My headlights are horrendous too!

They also do these pop up adaptions too but can't say am overly convinced.

Most lamps are improved with new units because the old ones are usually opaque due to fine stone damage, and re-earthing, or even better re-wiring: because many are only seeing about 10v. The light output from 924 Carrera GTS type lamps is lower than with the original lamps.

Quite often just washing the darn things will make a difference too. They do get pretty grubby in the down position and its an easy thing to forget to do. [&:]

that car looks depressed [:D] i'll stick with the airbrakes for now.

I put Phillips X-Treme Power H4 headlight bulbs in mine and the difference was amazing, now even on dim they are bright and quite white. And only for £18 a pair off ebay.[:D]
