The central rubber bush in the clutch plate goes off causing judder, diff whine as already said "they all do that" not all that serious unless it is hideous, new oil in the gearbox quitens things down and can improve the change, Berlyn Services (Bert Gear) sells Swepco, good stuff i have it in mine. As said clean and re-lube the window mech, water leak could be the pump can happen, get it sorted. Ditch the BBS and get some Fuchs (Proper Sexy and Right for an early 944) Good Luck, Welcome and Enjoy ! [

Too right !!! Also thanks for the petrol tip - truthfully never used "premium" petrol - and now never will [ORIGINAL: Fen That's just because she is female and they just assume more expensive is better even if they don't know why [][

The cleaning agents in V-Power and the like might be of some benefit, but it wasn't until the 968 that the engine management could dynamically adjust to make use of better fuel which is why I say they don't know what to do with it. Actually buying petrol is one of the few purchases where most women don't consider more expensive means better, in my experience.

That looks nice with the BBS wheels on the red, I've noticed that my car runs better on the super unleaded stuff I don't know what the best fuel is though.
Just purchased one myself & had the same problem when working out the sun roof removal – Got some information on a couple of forums so hope this helps you too. Removal: With the ignition on (think it is the 'A' position) so that the electronics (the radio and clock) turn on but not warning lights etc. Please note that if you turn it to the second position, the red warning light will turn on (the third position activates the starter.) Next step is to press the rocker button that opens up the sunroof. You should hear it unlock, and the motor continue to spin. Then you can take it out (be sure to disengage the front clips by pulling them down.) The sunroof should then be pushed up & then back towards the rear of the car to slide it off the wind deflector. Install: To get the sunroof back on, slide it back onto the wind deflector and lay it flat on the car (so it looks closed) then turn the ignition back to the 1st position, then press the close side of the rocker - again you should hear the sunroof motor spinning and be able to see the mechanism re-engage. Cheers, Jonathan
